Heidi Lighting Tutorial
We shot Heidi on a stormy night. It was a crazy Saturday. There was a lot of wind, dust and great clouds.
This was a great night! I got to spend it with my wife, son and best friend. We shot at Downtown Ocotillo en Chandler, AZ. It was fun. My friend Steve Garduño took the shot below. He and I both shot that night. That's me to the left. I was adjusting some settings in the camera.
I had a 3 light setup on some shots. Ben was helping me with some testing. The lighting is as follows:
1. 580ex on a DIY Beauty Dish at 1/1.
2. SB-600 Bare 1/8.
3. SB-600 Bare.1/8
Both shots of Heidi were taken with this setup. A trick I used was moving the beauty dish with my left hand. I'd move it right, left, back and forward - of course after each shot. Then I got tired and ask Steve help me out. I enjoy shooting - there's always something different.
